The Tesla Roadster is a fully electric sports car. It is the first car produced by electric car firm Tesla Motors.
The car can travel 400 km on a single charge of its lithium-ion battery pack and accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 200 km/h.
The roadster is powered by a 3-phase, 4-pole electric motor, producing a maximum net power of 248 hp. The motor is designed for rotational speeds of up to 14,000rpm, and delivers an efficiency of typically 90%, or 80% at peak power.

Sweet... I found this recently too... it's a nice car. the real deal was based on a Lotus Elise MKII, under license I think =)
