Featured Car: Shell James Bond Aston Martin DBS
My Aston Martin DBS purchased last week 1 day after the model was released. But, did you notice what's wrong with this picture above?
I would say this DBS is the best model Shell James Bond model to collect. The rest of 4 are some how quite disappointing to me. (Just my personal preference)
Even with that, not much details to expect from the model, and the worst one is the wheels. It doesn't looked any suitable to the casting. But, the only thing I like about this DBS is the number plate, which is the exact one used in the movie.
In the "Quantum of Solace", Daniel Craig was drove this 510-horsepower Aston Martin DBS as his latest ride. And the cars already broke into pieces in the beginning of the movie.
For car freaks, I have include the real specification for your perusal.

Featured Car: Ferrari Racer FXX
I would like to add a little more details on this Ferrari Racer FXX model 6/24.
Although I already have all 3 colours (Yellow, Black and Red) of FXX released in 2008 First Edition, it can't stop me to have this FXX in Ferrari Racer series.
All rounded It is built more carefully compared to the FE (First Edition), from colour, tempo to wheels are thoroughly selected.
Front and back is filled with details, lights, exhausts and logos can be clear seen. Not to forget, both front, back engine cover and fuel cap are nicely done too.
You may think it just use back the Red FXX FE with added details, you are absolutely wrong. The tempo looked similar but is definately in different quality. I unable to show you the differences, but, hardcore collectors like you should able to tell by having them side by side.
For FE FXX, I'm sure It does not have this side No. 5 stickers and Ferrari logo. The double star wheels just same with the FE but the red rings and rod tell it actually more expensive.
So what next? I still waiting for the FXX model on 14/24. I have no clue how it looks like, since red colour has out, it should likely in black colour version. We shall see it soon, perhaps, keep your fingers cross. ☺YeoCP//
Details
- Model: Ferrari Racer FXX 6/24
- Price: RM12.90
- P/N: N8092-0519
I like:
- FXX, and it is Ferrari red
I dislike:
- None, but would Mattel consider rubber version?

Chris Ting Tomica Fire Station
My colleague Chris Ting shares this latest work on this collection. I find is interesting and worth put up here for you. Below was what he wrote to me.
As mentioned earlier, I have now built my Tomica Fire Station. Material cost my around SGD4.75. Two A3 size card boards, 1 black and 1 red at $1.60 each. Some pins ($1.55 per box) to hold the cut-out card boards together.
With two sheets of the A3 card boards, it should allows us to build around two or three houses.
Well, even though it does not looks as good as those from Tomica, the fun part is I get to design the station myself and I enjoy the process of building it.

Best Hot Wheels 3 Packaging
Finally I have waited for this pack of 3 to go down at RM12.90. I got this yesterday at Carrefour with the new price, which before discount was at RM24.90.
RM24.90 or RM8.30 is way too expensive for 3 cars. I saw this pack for so long just can't buy it due to its price.
It is been my day to have it at the half price finally, I would say this is the best combination ever in this release. Other great packing content black Civic Si and Black Ferrari FXX. ☺YeoCP//

The package content White Civic Type R (2009 line-up), Red Evo X (New variant with different Wheels) and Blue Fit (2009 line-up).
The back of the packaging is labeled with Chinese Traditional description, this shipment should be arranged for exporting to overseas, maybe to Taiwan or Hong Kong (China is in Simplified Chinese).

Tomica New Models Preview
More pictures on the upcoming Tomica models has unveiled in the Internet, and this Nissan GT-R is the most anticipated model for regular line-up.
We have seen the GT-R in Limited series, but from these pictures, the regular model almost near Limited quality.
Except the wheels did not came with rubber tyres, both front and back has the glass lights and painted.
From pictures, this regular GT-R is absolutely fantastic, but for many of us still need to wait until actual launching on 17th Jan 2009.
As usual, my details review will be made available one month from the date, this is where Malaysia distributor received their goods.
The other new model for December this year, New Nissan Cube. Not like the usual practice, Takaratomy only unveiled the model picture one month before the launch date.
However, before the announcement, few pictures already circulated in the net, but the picture below is the most completed line-up I ever seen. Other than the colour above, there are many more colour in the selection.
Thanks to the Tomica Fan Club member Sagataro who shared these pictures with us. More pictures are available in the Club if you interested to know more.
Some photos are available for member only, but signing-up process is simple and free.

Hidden Number, what does it means?
You often see this stamp numbers at the back of the box, have you wonder what does it means?
See pictures below, the last 2 digit is the manufacturing year, and the 1st few should be the batch number (can someone confirm this?). Not to forget, the ST number in the box is the release year of the model.
Example 1, ST 04 and J2907, this means model release in year 2004 and reproduced in 2007.
Example 2, ST 08 and H0108, the answer is straight forward, released 2008, produced in 2008.
Does it benefit you by knowing how to interpret these numbers? The benefits could be vary from people to people, maybe you can tell whether the model you purchased is 1st release or reproduction.
To me, it helps me to decide based on the condition of the model and box. An example, If you see 2 of the same model with ST06 H0106 and ST06 J2108 with same condition, which one would you buy?
I properly will choose the 1st one due to its original 1st production of the model. With the later drop quality in the reproduction H2 and Pikachu, this has strengthen my believe in the original 1st release. ☺YeoCP//
